This free offering begins with a presentation on varied forms of nature journaling. then moves outside with an
invitation to try expressive nature journaling. We will stay close to the library’s back-yard, or go across the
street to the Nathan Hale Schoolhouse grounds. Basic supplies will be provided, no previous arts experience is
needed. If you already have a journal or mark making tools you enjoy, do bring them along. A small group will
allow for Nancy and another experienced journal artist to circulate among the group with encouragement.

Bring a snack or lunch, and consider patronizing the Higher Grounds Coffee Shop. Take good care by bringing
a hat, sunscreen, bug repellent, water, and a lawn chair (if you don’t choose to use the library picnic tables).

When we gather back inside the library to share about the experience, those who wish may stay briefly to learn
about using i-naturalist in conjunction with a nature journaling practice.
