Bells of East Haddam

Searching for a bell while hiking along one of our wooded trails
is fun for adults and kids. You never know where a bell is hiding!
Numerous ceramic bells are hidden within arm's reach of one of
our trails. Each bell is stamped with a date and number,
plus an image of the East Haddam swing bridge.
Find a bell you may keep it. But, just one bell per person, please.

If you find a bell and you are not already an EHLT member, you can
receive a free 1-year membership by emailing doreen.jezek@ehlt.org
with the year and number of your bell, and your name, address, phone,
and preferred contact email.

We encourage all bell finders to post a photo of their found bell
and list the location of their find on our Facebook page.

Previously, Bells were hidden along the trails
at one of these EHLT preserves:
Ballahack, Golet Farm, Hidden Valley Farm, Snell-Talbot, Bloch,
Monika's Woods, Mangano-Mazzella Farm (aka Honey Hill Farm)
Miller Farm, Sheepskin Hollow, Olde Field, Pegus’s Path, Duncan,
Saunders, Walls Way, Hill Tree Farm, and Hammond Mill.
There may still be some hiding in these locations.
In 2025, we have mixed things up a bit with a new glaze and color
for the Bells.

Happy hiking and hunting!
