Corporate Matching Gift Programs.
Please check with your human resources department or employee engagement portal to see if your employer offers a matching gift program. Many in Connecticut do but each one may differ in their requirements. Such programs may double your donations to EHLT.
If you need help completing your company’s matching gift program form, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
You may designate your donation to the following funds:
The Anita Ballek/East Haddam Land Trust Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior from Nathan Hale-Ray High School who has demonstrated civic-mindedness and submits an essay on why he or she intends to pursue environmental studies. Learn more about past recipients of the Anita Ballek/East Haddam Land Trust Scholarship Fund.
The Stewardship Fund
This covers costs related to blazing and maintaining trails, preserve boundary maintenance, building footbridges over stream crossings, creating preserve parking areas, removing diseased and fallen trees, signage, invasive plant removal and control, and other work necessary for managing our preserves.
The Land Acquisition Fund
This fund is specifically for EHLT land purchases and conservation easements, to support Town of East Haddam Open Space purchases and, occasionally, support the purchase of other key parcels that preserve portions of the Connecticut River Valley.
The Calendar Fund
This fund offsets the production costs of the East Haddam Land Trust Photo Calendar, mailed to members and distributed locally, free of charge.
The General Fund
This fund is managed by EHLT's Board of Directors wherever the need is greatest.
The Saunders Property Land Acquisition Fund
All donations designated to this fund will be applied directly to the acquisition of the Saunders Property, 68-acres between Honey Hill and Hedlund Roads. Once acquired, the property will be open to the public.
