The Anita Ballek/East Haddam Land Trust Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior from Nathan Hale-Ray High School who has demonstrated civic-mindedness and submits an essay on why he or she intends to pursue environmental studies. The Stewardship Fund

This covers costs related to blazing and maintaining trails, preserve boundary maintenance, building footbridges over stream crossings, creating preserve parking areas, removing diseased and fallen trees, signage, invasive plant removal and control, and other work necessary for managing our preserves.

The Land Acquisition Fund

This fund is specifically for EHLT land purchases and conservation easements, to support Town of East Haddam Open Space purchases and, occasionally, support the purchase of other key parcels that preserve portions of the Connecticut River Valley. 

The Calendar Fund

This fund supports the annual East Haddam Land Trust Nature Calendar featuring beautiful drawings of nature scenes created by local school children and residents and daily nature notes. Each year 6000-7000 calendars are distributed to all land trust members and contributing artists, and at a variety of  East Haddam locations. The calendar effort is supported entirely through donations to this fund and volunteer time (not membership funds). 

The General Fund

This fund is managed by EHLT's Board of Directors to wherever the need is greatest.
