Paypal
Paypal is a secure, online payment processor. You don't have to sign up with Paypal to pay us through this service. And there's no cost you!
If You Have a Paypal Account
If you have a Paypal account, you can pay us using a Paypal balance, from your checking account, or with a credit or debit card, the same as you would any other Paypal transaction. When you click on any "Donate" button, just follow the instructions. There are 5 easy steps:
- Enter the amount you want to pay
- Click the "Update Total" button
- Log onto Paypal in the logon box
- Click "Donate $xx Now"
- Print your receipt
Of course, you'll also get an email from Paypal confirming the transaction.
If you're unsure whether we'll know exactly what the payment was for (e.g., you make a $100 payment to pay dues and make a contribution at the same time), just send an email to the Treasurer letting us know how to allocate the payment you just made.
If You Don't Have a Paypal Account
Pay with a credit or debit card even if you haven't signed up with Paypal. When you click on any "Donate" button, just follow the instructions. There are 5 easy steps:
- Enter the amount you want to pay
- Click the "Update Total" button
- Click the link on the left that says "Don't have a Paypal Account?"
- Enter your name, address, phone, email, and credit card information.
- Click "Review and Continue" and check your information
- Click "Donate $xx Now"
- Print your receipt
You'll have the option to create a password and open a Paypal account at the end of the process. If you want Paypal to store your information, or want to pay us and others who use Paypal from your checking account in the future, sign up--it's free! Many online vendors use Paypal as a payment option, so you don't have to input your credit card information again.
Safety Tip-Emails From Paypal and Other Financial Institutions Scam
Using Paypal from a site you trust is safe. However, there are email scams that attempt to trick people into revealing user IDs and passwords for Financial Institutions, including Paypal.
If you have a Paypal account, never log onto Paypal from an email, unless you absolutely know it's from Paypal. Always go directly to www.paypal.com and log in from there. (The same is true for any email from any financial institution). There are scams that use the Paypal logo and what looks like Paypal site addresses in an email saying there's a problem with your account or they need to perform a security check. They want you to log into your account directly from the email (which goes to a fake site) so they can steal your password. These emails are sent as "phishing emails" to people whether they have Paypal accounts or not. This scam also sends emails as Bank of America, etc. (all financial institutions), hoping to get user IDs and passwords for financial accounts.
