2011 EHLT Nature Calendar
Here are the details about the EHLT Art Contest for the 2011 Calendar. The deadline for entry is Feb 28, 2010. There are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in each of three age categories, as follows:
| First Prize $75 | Age Categories: Adult, Student (9-12); Teenage (13-18) |
| Second Prize $50 | Age Categories: Adult, Student (9-12); Teenage (13-18) |
| Third Prize $25 | Age Categories: Adult, Student (9-12); Teenage (13-18) |
Winning entries are based on scientific accuracy, artistic quality, and seasonal appropriateness. Priority is given to subjects found wild in East Haddam.
Entry Rules and Information
- Pen and black ink
- White paper or artist stock
- Wild plants and animals found in East Haddam
- 5" x 6 1/2" preferred
- More than one illustration per artist may be submitted
- An individual may receive only 1 prize
- Provide a separate entry form on the back of each illustration
- Editors have the right to edit a drawing
- Drawings become the property of EHLT and may be used for future promotional purposes
- Original illustrations will be returned to the artist by request (include a SASE)
- Winners to be notified in June or July of 2010
- 5,000 printed copies of the calendar will be available in August; 1 will be mailed to each artist
- Neither EHLT nor the members of the calendar committee will be held responsible for lsot or damaged work
