2013 EHLT Nature Calendar
Here are the details about the EHLT Art Contest for the 2013 Calendar. The deadline for entry is Feb 29, 2012. This year, age groups are arranged by season. There are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in each of three age categories; prizes are $75; $50; and $25. A $100 Grand Prize will be awarded to any entry (any age group/season) and featured on the cover of the 2013 calendar.

Winning entries are based on originality, artistry,scientific accuracy, and seasons. Priority is given to subjects found wild in East Haddam.
Entry Rules and Information
- An individual may receive only 1 prize
- Pen and artist's black ink (no ball point pen, pencil, or half tones)
- White paper or artist stock
- Wild plants, animals, and scenes found in East Haddam
- Approximately 5" x 6 1/2" preferred
- More than one illustration per artist may be submitted
- Provide a separate entry form on the back of each illustration
- Editors have the right to edit a drawing
- Drawings become the property of EHLT and may be used for future EHLT purposes
- Original illustrations will be returned to the artist by request (include a SASE with adequate postage to cover costs)
- Winners to be notified in late spring 2012
- 5,000 printed copies of the calendar will be available in July 2012; 1 will be mailed to each artist
- Neither EHLT nor the members of the calendar committee will be held responsible for lost or damaged work
