Anita Ballek-East Haddam Land Trust Scholarship Fund
Congratulations to Alison Mackinnon, the winner of the 2011 scholarship.
The fund continues to financially support East Haddam students pursuing environmental studies in higher education. The scholarship is awarded to one graduating high school senior (Nathan Hale-Ray) who has demonstrated civic mindedness, and who has submitted a essay on why he or she intends to pursue the environmental sciences. Past recipients have gone on to pursue ‘green’ careers such as horticulture.
