Membership Matters

The rustling of autumn leaves,

the gurgling of a flowing stream,

the hoots of owls or calls of chickadees,
the hum of wood frogs in the spring,
or the gleeful call of a child who spots a cool rock, tree lichen, or a tiny flower ... these are the sounds that soothe souls.

These are the sounds your membership dollars help protect.

Family-Friendly Earth Week Exploration Walk
Sunday, April 21, 1-3 pm

A special family-friendly Earth Day guided and interactive exploration of a wetland area, led by Maggie Cozens of the Connecticut Sea Grant program. Wetlands are a wealth of biodiversity and intrigue and are one of the most important ecosystems on earth. On this walk, we will look for amphibians, birds, ephemeral wildflowers...and other spring sights as we gently hike through marshy habitat.
Please plan your footwear accordingly.
Appropriate for all ages, including children (accompanied by an adult).
Please register by 4/20 at events@ehlt.org.

On the day of the hike, meet at the entrance of the Moodus Forest at the parking area on the left side of Robbie Road (Robbie Road Preserve). Hikers are invited to bring post-walk tailgate treats to share along with EHLT refreshments.
